Kellner Construction and Remodeling, Licensed General Contractor at 34381 Denise Way, Rancho Mirage, California.

This is in response to Peter Callinico's negative and extremely falsified review. Peter changed his mind 3 or 4 times AFTER the project began, therefore the blueprints had to be changed and sent back to the city for approval which caused an extreme delay of the casita. The delay was due to Peter NOT Jeff. Also Peter did not have the proper soil compaction test done before construction began and Jeff was not notified beforehand so Jeff had to scramble to get all testing done, which was NOT in the signed contract, Jeff did this free of charge, excluding the engineer fees. As for the subcontractors, all of which have worked with Kellner Construction for 15 plus years and are STILL working with the company, have all texted or called complaining about the customer, Peter Callinicos, and how he would follow them around critiquing anything and everything, interfering continuously which also slowed the team down because of having to to explain why every nail was used or whatever else he wanted to complain about instead of letting the team work. Peter was rude and belittling to every single subcontractor or team member that worked on his casita. Peter would call or text if Jeff was on another estimate or project demanding, swearing and rudely wanting to know WHY Jeff was not at HIS house EVEN though he was there every morning, EXCEPT the week Jeff took off due to the fact his son was murdered and had to go out of town. I have heard not only Jeff but the subcontractors and team say that Peter Callinicos was by far the worst customer ever and many times felt they wanted to walk away before the project was finished because of Peter and his irrogant and demeaning personality. As for the "botched" concrete job, well the contract was for standard concrete around the pool area, no specifications. Standard concrete around a pool should be non-slippery for safety reasons and Peter did NOT INFORM Jeff of any change and therefore the concrete was poured and finished as per the signed contract, so once again his dissatisfaction was caused by Peter NOT Jeff, the subcontractors nor the team. You can read other reviews, no other complaints ever. In response to Jeff and a partner....Kellner Construction is privately owned and operated by Jeffrey Kellner, it was never stated nor implied that any partner was involved, what was said was that his project manager would be on sight, unfortunately he became sick and unable to return to the project and Jeff is in the process of hiring a new project manager.
